Eric & Noemi Ross

Noemi RossPresident and Founder of  the Project Rise Adult Learning Center has more than 25 years of progressively responsible experiences contributing to the Lehman College Adult Learning Center literacy program directing as many as  100’s employees in revenues in excess of $500 million. Noemi has contributed to the success of this organization through start-up, survival, turnaround and growth modes.

Noemi Ross has spent 25 plus years in a variety of positions, building relationship with both the Lehman community and the Literacy Assistance Center. In addition, financial services. Her understanding of both internal and external part of the organization provides a concrete balance to the work she has delivered in the various positions she held such as; being a student, office clerk, receptionist, Office Manager, Data Entry Coordinator, ABE Program Coordinator, Substitute teaching in ABE, Intermediate, ESOL, GED Math, and has taught and held the Office skills & Computer class for over 15 years.

Among her significant previous positions, Noemi Ross served as an Admin Team Associate to the ALC Director.

Since her recent December 2015,  26 year retirement Noemi Ross goals is to apply the values and skills she was so graciously offered, back into her community leaving a legacy for the community and her grandchildren.

Noemi Ross plans to provide a Literacy program with similar offerings of that of the Lehman College ALC Project Rise Adult Learning Center, intent is not to reinvent the wheel but add to her success. Noemi Ross believes that every student should be given an opportunity to voice their opinions and be heard and helped from the standpoint of where they are.  She believes that when we notice a person we notice ourselves. She said “with the proper tools and opportunities Project Rise can offer the New Rochelle community the opportunity to see how far a student can go, whether it is accomplishing how to speak English, how to Read and Write, Obtaining a HSE, help with entering post-secondary education or just completing training in a focused area of interest.  Noemi Ross’s heart goes out to every student that walks through those doors and her ultimate goal is to prepare students to see themselves as leaders and contributers in their community and society.
