Develop Oral Skills

The main goal of the English Courses is to develop the oral skills of communication rather than trying to memorize grammatical rules.  The first oral skill of communication is to be able to understand the spoken English.  This is accomplished by continuous listening and repeating oral exercises, stories, dialogs and conversations.  The second oral skill of communication and the most important of all is the ability to ask and answer questions.

Students who are not content with acquiring these oral skills and also want to learn the mechanics of the language structure will have available to them the grammatical concepts that support those skills.   These grammatical concepts will be available to them at any time in the native language of the student by clicking on the Explanationbutton.

To accomplish these goals, the ESL system makes use of various tools that will help the student to succeed in the learning of English as a Second Language:

1 A Gradual, step by step Approach of learning the language.
Each lesson is built on the knowledge of the previous lessons, in addition to the new content for that lesson.  This method provides for a smooth, easy and logical transition from one lesson to the other.
2Learning Modules
The use of Learning Modules that introduce the learning content in each lesson: the vocabulary study, the sentence structure, the grammatical exercises, the listening exercises, the conversation exercises and the presentation of common phrases used by native speakers.
3English Pronunciations
In these courses the students are in control of the English pronunciation by allowing them to listen and repeat all the words and sentences as many times as needed.
4Translations
The Translation of the English vocabulary and sentence structures into the language of the student as a tool to speed up the process of learning the language.
5Basic Explanations
Finally, Basic Explanations of grammar concepts, needed to form correct sentences, are provided to the students in their native language.
